Dr. Del Gato has been serving the San Diego area for over 20 years. He received his degree from University of California San Francisco. His commitment to excellence is evident in regular attendance to continuing education courses, as well as spending many hours researching the latest techniques available.

Dr. Del Gato has dedicated himself to be actively involved in the education and development of cosmetic dentistry. He has successfully completed an advanced hands-on aesthetic course at Baylor University as well as the Advanced Anterior Aesthetic Continuum course at the University of the Pacific. Dr. Del Gato, along with Dr. Sawyer and his entire dental team, are also graduates of Walter Hailey's Dental Boot Kamp.

Dr. Del Gato gives much of his time and energy into the sponsoring of many different charities within the community, including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Battered Women's Shelter program through "Give Back A Smile". He likes to play just as much as he likes to do beautiful dentistry, and his hobbies include fishing, hunting and golfing. Most of all however, he enjoys spending quality family time with his lovely wife Kathy, and their two children Andrew and Katie.

Dr. Sawyer is a true artist using her ability to merge the art and science of aesthetic dentistry into the finished beautiful smile. She has treated hundreds of patients and provided them with exceptional care and clinical treatment of the highest quality. Her goal is to make every patient comfortable during their dental experience regardless of the complexity of the case. Her expertise extends from simple restoration to full mouth orthodontic dentistry.

Teri has worked in dentistry for 15 years, with a commitment based on a real love for working with people to help them achieve the very best possible dental health. She does everything she can to create sincere, positive relationships with our patients, instilling in them a sense of genuine excitement about the benefits of excellent dental health, and then assisting them in overcoming whatever obstacles may have prevented that excitement in the past. She puts significant time and effort into her ongoing education. In addition, she's completed the extensive Advanced Team Program course from the famed California Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and she is also a Dentrix trainer.

Holly's been involved in both general and specialty areas of dentistry for eleven years, including work as a Dentrix trainer, dental assistant, and front office person. She earned her undergrad degree at Southwest Texas State in San Marcos, and is a proud graduate of the famed California Institute's Advanced Team Program. Her interest in dentistry stems from a desire to change and enrich people's lives… giving them healthy smiles and improved self-esteem. When she's not helping us help patients, she's with her husband and two small children, playing or sporting outdoors and spending summers at the lake.

Marilyn's been in the dental field for 27 years, so it's no surprise that virtually nothing escapes her notice when it comes to cleaning teeth or helping patients learn good oral health habits. And despite the number of years of experience, she's the first to say that she loves both the work itself and the people involved, and finds the constant advancements in the industry to be very exciting. Originally from Georgia (a real Georgia peach), she earned her degree from Clayton College there and has since completed the famed Las Vegas Institute's Advanced Team Program. Marilyn is married, with one teen-age daughter.

Tanya has been taking care of our patients' needs for the past 3 years. Tanya is a very caring individual who always is ready for you with a smile on her face. Tanya has grown rapidly in her knowledge of cosmetic dentistry, and in addition to dental assisting, Tanya is a licensed cosmetologist. Tanya received her RDA from San Joaquin Valley College in 1996. Tanya enjoys attending her Tae bo classes at the local gym, and spending quality time with her husband Brian.

James has only been with the practice for a year now, but he brings with him a sincere enthusiasm for quality dentistry. James has eagerly attended multiple continuing education courses, including the Advance Anterior Aesthetics Continuum in San Francisco, graduating with honors. James has quickly mastered the knowledge to help you achieve the smile that you have always wanted. James received his RDA license through the Butte County ROP program in 1996. James likes to relax on the lake with his newly wed wife Sandy, and spending time together out of doors roller blading.

Debbie is the veteran employee of the office, having been Dr. Del Gatos' hygienist now for 23 years. Debbie is probably the sweetest person you will ever meet, and this is evident in the caring way she treats everyone she sees. Debbie spends much of her time researching the latest hygiene products that will help you as an individual achieve the home care program best for you. She received her RDH license in 1976 from Foothill College in Los Altos. Debbie is also licensed to administer anesthetic as well as being certified category II laser treatment. Debbie spends much of her spare time out of the office being Mom to her 3 children.

Pamela Springstein

Pam is the newest addition to our dental team. She received an AS degree in dental hygiene in 1973, and an extended functions certificate form Loma Linda University in 1980. Pam has been actively practicing dental hygiene for 26 years, and her experience extends from periodontics to cosmetic treatment. Pam thoroughly enjoys her profession as a Dental Hygienist, and thinks of her patients as her friends. When she is not working, Pam likes to garden, back- pack and kayak in the local mountains, and dedicates much of her time to doing volunteer work.

Darice Plumber

Darice has been the smiling face at the front desk for over 7 years now. Although her superb front office skills help to make the office run smoothly, Darices' dental knowledge is extensive, having been a participant in continuing education targeted for dentists, hygienists and assistants. Darice has dealt with insurance billing for over 10 years, and can usually help you figure what your benefits will be for most treatments. Always "on the go", Darice keeps her hands busy with crafts, fishing with her husband Mike, and keeping track of her two teenagers.
